They are intended to be used until worn, but we recommend changing them every week. Slate heads are reusable just like your toothbrush, just rinse & dry. What is your floss made of? We use woven floss with 450 strands. It is not coated and doesn’t contain any chemicals. It is ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, and it is teflon-free. How do you connect a new floss head? To connect a new floss head, slide the top of the flosser neck up through middle of the floss head and press firmly on the back of the tongue scraper until it snaps in on both sides (the interacting logos will be facing up). How do you remove the floss head? To remove a floss head, place your thumb on the back of the neck just below the tongue scraper and press down firmly on a hard surface until it pops off.
